Thursday, April 9, 2009
Jim Hanley's Universe is excited to announce the first musical performances at the JHU Underground, Manhattan's premier destination for exclusive gaming, special multimedia comic book events, panels and lectures, and now live music!
On Friday, April 17th Jim Hanley's Universe proudly presents "The World’s First Comic Book Rock Band" Kirby Krackle! Kirby Krackle has performed in front of packed audiences at conventions around the country, and they will be performing selections from their self-titled debut album (and more!) at the JHU Underground at our Manhattan location! Not only do you get the chance to listen to some great live music from the band that has entertained audiences around the country including the likes of Marvel Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada ("I was floored ... you have to check these guys out!"), you get to do it for free! That's right folks, this JHU Underground event is FREE!
And it just gets better! Opening for Kirby Krackle will be none other than New York City's best comic book indie rock band, Tryptophan! Tryptophan is fronted by our own general manager Ron Hill and features general manager Nick Purpura! So come on down to Jim Hanley's Universe in Manhattan for an evening of great geeky music and fun, Friday April 17, starting at 6:00pm!
Jeff
