Saturday, May 23, 2009
Here are some updates on a few things we have announced over the past week.
This week's checklist can be found here. And pardon our appearance at our Manhattan location - we are currently undergoing some renovations to our store front, but fret not citizens of the Universe! New York City's premier comic store and gaming spot is open for business as usual!
Signings at JHU
On Saturday, June 27, Jim Hanley's Universe will be having a jam-packed day of events in celebration of LGBT Pride Day! All afternoon and into the evening, JHU's Manhattan location will be holding a myriad of signings, discussions, and events all about gay pride and comics including events at the JHU Underground - New York City's premier location for panels, lectures, Q&As, presentations, gaming, and more! More info to come, so stay tuned!
On Wednesday, June 24, Jim Hanley's Universe in Manhattan proudly presents the legendary artist and the co-creator of Preacher, Steve Dillon! This signing benefits the great folks at the Hero Initiative, the only charity for helping comic creators in need. More details are to come, so stay tuned!
And coming soon... Joe Simon! As Russel likes to say, this is For Realies!
Photo Cavalcade!
We've uploaded a ton of cool photos over the last week or so...
Check out these photos of Craig Yoe at the JHU Underground from April 3 and these photos from the jam-packed, red-hot Alara Reborn release tournament from May 1. And of course you can see all of our Geoff Johns coverage from the last several weeks here!
Free Comic Book Day was an absolute blast, and you can check out all our coverage here! Take a gander at the pics from the Joe Staton signing, the FCHS signing featuring JHU staffers Vito Delsante and Rachel Freire, and all our FCBD festivities!
