Marvel 70th Anniversary Party at JHU TUESDAY, AUGUST 11! Updated!

Tuesday, August 11 is the 70th Anniversary of Marvel Comics and Jim Hanley's Universe and Marvel invite you to celebrate this momentous occasion in grand style!

The festivities kick off at 8:00pm at both JHU locations with free CAKE!

Then, at 9:00pm we begin selling the first issue of the hotly anticipated new mini-series from Captain America's Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting, The Marvels Project. This new mini-series looks at the origins of the Marvel Universe in the 1930s and 1940s - this is the secret history of the Marvel Universe, filled with espionage and intrigue from one of the best creative teams in comics!

So cake new comics, all in celebration of Marvel's momentous 70th Anniversary, all going down at both JHU locations Tuesday, August 11 starting at 8:00pm!

We had hoped to get some creators in for the event to sign some stuff, but some plans changed last second. Don't worry, though, we'll still have CAKE and COMICS! Woot!
