This week marks the return of the Transformers in their first ongoing comic in...well, quite a while. We asked Transformers editor, Andy Schmidt why YOU should pick it up! Take it away, Andy!
Three reasons? Only three reasons to but this book! OK, how about this?
1. It's a great jumping on point for new readers with a new status quo--very accessible!
2. Fan-favorite character Ironhide gets killed, and you won't believe how.
3. Ironhide's death leads to a shocking decision for Optimus Prime--he resigns as leader of the Autobots! Great art (by TF vet, Don Figueroa) and great writing (by GI Joe: Cobra's Mike Costa) really come together in this blast-off point setting the stage for many Transformers stories to come!
