Magic: The Gathering NEW PHYREXIA Launch Parties Coming to JHU May 14!

Jim Hanley's Universe and Wizards of the Coast present Magic: The Gathering NEW PHYREXIA Launch Parties SATURDAY, MAY 14!

The wait is over, Magic fans! Be at Jim Hanley’s Universe this Saturday, May 14 for the much anticipated launch parties of the new Magic expansion, New Phyrexia, at both JHU locations!

The format, times, and prices are the same as our hugely successful Phyrexia pre-release tourneys from 5/7, but as a reminder, here is the info:

FORMAT: Sealed (Get 3 booster packs of the New Phyrexia set and 3 booster packs from Scars of Mirrodin and build a 40 card deck to use and play against opponents for 5 rounds.)

ENTRY FEE, MAIN EVENT: $30
SIDE EVENTS: $15 Booster Drafts, size of events based on participation.

The JHU Underground at our Manhattan Location
Main Event: 2:00 - 6:30 PM
Side Events (limited availability): 2:30 - 7:30 PM
Side Events (full availability): 7:30 - 10:00 PM
SIGNUP BEGINS AT 9:00am!

Staten Island
Main Event: 1:00 - 5:30 PM
Side Events (limited availability): 1:00 - 5:30 PM
Side Events (full availability): 5:30 - 8:00 PM
SIGNUP BEGINS AT NOON!

The Manhattan Main event is capped at 50 people!
The SI Main event is capped at 40 people!

NOTE: We sold out both pre-release events May 7 - Sign up for the launch events begins at noon at our Staten Island Location and at 9:00am at our Manhattan Location, first come, first served!

This cannot be stressed enough: YOUR BEST CHANCE AT GETTING A SEAT TO THESE TOURNEYS IS TO ARRIVE BEFORE 12:30!
